Cambridge Contract Lift

Mechanical Movements have been busy completing a contract lift at the expansive Astrazeneca campus, a state-of-the-art medical research hub based within The Discovery Centre in Cambridge.

To complete the works, our skilled lifting experts used a tower crane to lift 1 x condenser and 3 x carrier chillers into the building, before carefully manoeuvring each unit into its final position within the plant room. The chillers each weighed 2 tonnes, so we were able to utilise skates and jacks to move the chillers efficiently and safely.

The 3 new chillers have been installed to supply a shower and changing block at the bottom of a newly built parking complex, facilities which will be used by commuters arriving via bicycle or motorbike.
