Construction Continues at New Civic Offices in Crawley

Our team were in Crawley last week coordinating the placement of equipment for the heating and ventilation systems of the newly constructed Civic Offices. This is part of the ongoing local regeneration scheme to revitalise the area.

Mechanical Movements were instructed by the project consultant to manoeuvre the new equipment onto the roof of the 9 storey Town Hall building. In total we lifted 3no. new air handling units (AHU), 2no. chillers and a low voltage panel/generator, the heaviest chiller weighing 4918kgs. We managed this with the use of the onsite tower crane, with a radius of 34.5m, to execute the lift.

Our multi-skilled team also installed the steelwork and anti-vibration pads, before carefully landing the new equipment into its final position on the roof.

The specialist Mechanical Movements team executed a quick and seamless operation, allowing the next phase of operations on this new commercial building to get underway.
