Changeover Operation at Guy’s & St Thomas

Last week, Mechanical Movements replaced a 300kg Airedale compressor unit atop of the 10^th floor of Guy’s and St Thomas Hospital in Southwark, London.

First we used pallet trucks to securely transport the equipment into the hospital, before making use of the services elevator to lift it up to the top of the building.  Once at the 10^th floor, we then mobilised a stairclimber kit to safely lift the compressor up an external services staircase for the final elevation up to the mezzanine plant deck.

The compressor was carefully changed over using only the pre-agreed access routes, avoiding any disruption to the staff and patients at the Hospital.
