Lights, Camera, Action! Mechanical Movements Visit the BBC

Mechanical Movements visited the BBC Television Centre last week, having recently been appointed to replace a plate heat exchanger within the historical building, located in White City, West London.

Using a 22-ton rigged Hiab lorry, our trusted team carefully delivered the 1500kg unit to the renowned complex, where it was then lifted and manoeuvred into the basement plant room.

Due to the underground location of the plant room, our proactive operatives utilised the readily available goods lift and built strong structural ramps, allowing the plant to be successfully transported between rooms.

Works were successfully carried out in a live environment, which proved no challenge for our experienced operatives who conscientiously established an exclusion zone throughout the duration of the project.
