New Buntingford School Makes Progress

This week the Mechanical Movements Team are installing Air Handling Units (AHUs) at Buntingford School – a new 2 form entry First School located in East Hertfordshire, opening in September 2023.

The brand new education facility is being developed as a pilot to achieve the first fully net zero carbon school in the county, in-line with their carbon-neutral ambitions.

Working with contractor Morgan Sindall, we have been delivering multiple state-of-the-art AHUs to site, before using our lifting equipment to maneuver them into the first floor, carefully dismantling each of them alongside the manufacturer’s guidance, in order to fit through the very restrictive access.

Once all components are maneuvered into the plant rooms of the multiple buildings, the rebuilding and connection of the units can commence.

All in time for the September school bell to ring…
