Offloading at Oxford Street

Mechanical Movements were on Oxford Street in London recently, manoeuvring a 2-tonne generator into a basement plant room with very restricted access.

First, we had to erect a temporary scaffold platform, for use as a lifting deck on the ground floor level. We then used one of our fork trucks to lift the generator onto this platform, before using an electric hoist to gradually raise it from the scaffold and safely lower it into its final position in the basement plant room.
