Phase 1 Completed at St George’s Hospital

The Mechanical Movements team were in Tooting at the weekend, working for Cool-Therm at the St George’s NHS hospital.

As part of a two-phase mechanical chiller replacement project, we first had to strategically manage the removal of the plant room roof section, in order to gain aerial access. Once we achieved this, we were able to use a crane to carefully lift the 2 x 2 tonnes redundant units up and out.

We are looking forward to getting back to site next week to complete phase 2 of the works, involving the lift and installation of the new chiller units onto brand new steel framework, within the newly re-configured plant room.
