Going Underground
Mechanical Movements have been in Candleford, Northamptonshire, replacing ventilation equipment in an underground carpark which had been flooded by recent heavy rains. The ventilation fans had been severely damaged, along with plant equipment and several cars.
The redundant fans, which had been disconnected, were removed using a Telehandler 2506 fitted with a scrubber, before being relocated to a dedicated storage area for later removal from the site. The 2no. new fans weighing 400kg each, were then lifted using block and tackle before being manoeuvred carefully into position.
Our expert team completed this specialist procedure swiftly and safely, readying the new fans for connection by the contractor.
