Chiller Changeover at London Metropolitan University! 🎓

Last weekend, the team at Mechanical Movements successfully carried out a seamless chiller changeover at London Metropolitan University, Aldgate.

The project involved rigging a 120-tonne mobile crane on a variation rig, which allowed us to keep the road partially open throughout the operation. To ensure stability, the crane was positioned on four crane mats, evenly distributing its weight across the roadway🏗️

Thanks to careful management of the partial road closure, we were able to efficiently deliver and install a new 6-tonne chiller, while safely removing the old one, all with minimal disruption. At the same time, our Hiab was used to install several condensers on the building’s lower roof.
