AHU Install at Archaeological Research Centre

Mechanical Movements travelled to Reading last week, having been successfully appointed to carry out movement and installation works within the British Museum Archaeological Research Centre.

Located near the University of Reading’s Thames Valley Science Park, the new building is an integral space for research, storage, and the conservation of historical objects.

Following the safe delivery of plant to site, the team carefully unloaded and manoeuvred each section of AHU into the building using our reliable, all terrain telehandler. Our movement specialists installed 10no substantial AHUs, each consisting of 5no sections, and once positioned correctly within each separate plant room, the sections were carefully double stacked and bolted together using our porta gantry system.

Once all units had been correctly placed, our installation team systematically fitted a number of pumps and vessels within an external plant room, once again using our efficient telehandler and porta gantry system.
