Mechanical Movements Take the Stage…

Mechanical Movements were appointed by Dalkia to store, deliver and install the loading bay extraction systems for the BBC at Stratford Olympic Park and Sadler’s Wells Theatre.

To execute this, our specialist team utilised one of our telehandlers to manoeuvre and install each section of duct work, mounting them into hanging steelwork.

Each individual section of duct work attenuation weighed around 500kg, with the bullet fans weighing 1.4 tonne each.

We had a number of our fitters using our scissor lifts to access the working area and hand steel framework to support the extraction system.

The overall delivery required two artic lorries and our trusty forklift to safely unload and manoeuvre the systems into their working storage area.

Our lifting experts did a fantastic job, ensuring that all was lifted and installed correctly, whilst following all health and safety precautions. Well done team!
