Lifting Operations At Old Scotland Yard
Over the weekend, Mechanical Movements completed a complex, two-day operation in Westminster, carefully delivering and installing plant to a renowned building located on White Hall Place.
Home to the original headquarters of the Metropolitan Police, the Grade II listed property is a historical landmark and has recently been redeveloped into a luxury 5-star hotel.
Prior to the commencement of the plant lifts, our specialist operatives fabricated and installed 3no large steel frames to situate all plant onto.
Once the steel frames had been manoeuvred into the correct position, our plant movement experts used an AT6 mobile tower crane to lift and install a wide variety of plant including:
- 2no chillers
- 2no dry air coolers
- 7no AHU (separated into 55 manageable sections)
- 6no condensers
- 24 pallets of slab
- 50no sections of duct work
- 100no pieces of pipework
Essential road closures were implemented throughout the works, allowing our operatives to complete the lifts successfully whilst ensuring public safety.
