Delivering Doors Downtown

Since 2019, Mechanical Movements have carried out a wide range of lifting projects at KOKO, a renowned music venue located on Camden High Street, London. Built in the late 1800’s, the grade II listed property has an extensive history and has formally been used as a theatre and a BBC studio.

Earlier in the year, our expert team were engaged in an important project for our valued client, lifting essential plant into the building. To complete these works, we were required to remove the original stage door in order to efficiently manoeuvre all equipment into its final position.

Having completed all plant installations, our skilled operatives returned to Camden last week to carefully deliver the historic stage door back to site. Using a 22-ton rigged Hiab lorry, we lifted the 600kg door, cautiously fitting it back onto the side of the building and returning a piece of history to the remarkable venue.
