Guinness Microbrewery Lift & Install…
Last week, Mechanical Movements completed a challenging lift and installation for Designer Group at the new Guinness Microbrewery on Langley Street in Covent Garden.
The installation involved 2 air source heat pumps (ASHP), 1 chiller, 2 buffer vessels, and a booster set. Our expert team used a 3-axle ‘city boy’ mobile tower crane to lift the items safely onto the 12th-floor plant enclosure. To ensure stability, 20 bog mats were used to create a supportive pad for the crane due to a bar underneath the riggers, which helped distribute the weight across the structural beams.
Given the location, this was one of the tightest lifts the team has encountered. Pedestrian safety was carefully managed using barriers, and a Banksman was stationed in all local pedestrian areas, ensuring safe walkways around the working area/exclusion zone.
Well done to our expert lifting team on executing this lift and installation in the safest possible manner, ensuring pedestrian safety was managed correctly while ensuring a minimal amount of disruption was caused.
