Seamless Chiller Replacement at Upper Thames Street, London

This week, the Mechanical Movements team completed a chiller replacement project at Upper Thames Street for our client, ESG. The operation involved removing a 7-tonne chiller and replacing it with a new, state-of-the-art unit. To achieve this, we utilised an AT7 mobile tower crane with an impressive 27-meter working radius.

To ensure the safety and stability of the lift, we carefully positioned load-bearing mats to evenly distribute the weight across the pavement and road, supporting the crane during this intricate operation. In addition to the chiller installation, we also fitted various plant components, delivering a high-quality, professional result that met the client’s expectations.

Due to the site’s location on one of London’s busiest highways, the project required a major road closure. Mechanical Movements managed every aspect of traffic control, including road closures, diversions, and safety precautions, ensuring minimal disruption and full compliance with safety regulations.

Well done to our skilled lifting team on another successful installation! The team will return next month to carry out the same task, maintaining our commitment to quality and seamless execution.
